Featured in The Kansas City Star in Fall 2009, this tart and citrusy jelly gets its fresh flavor from 'Lemona' basil infusion with Chardonnay wine. It's elegant served with anything that loves lemon - seafood, salad dressings and warmed over ice cream.

Sweet Purple Basil Chardonnay Jelly
(Sparkling Pink Basil Chardonnay)
This flavor was THE HIT at Powell Garden's Chili Pepper Festival. The flavor is basil yet floral - unlike anything you can describe. The color is a sparkling pink/rose and that comes directly from the purple basil 'Red Rubin' that we grow in the garden. The wine gives it a delicate grape flavor. Featured in The Kansas City Star in the Fall of 2009 as a Local Product of Kansas City.

Asian Moqua Hot Pepper Preserves
Meadowlark Acres received the Asian moqua melons from KSU Test Gardens with the mandate to create a delicious dish from the unusual melon. The result is a citrus-y, fruity, and spicy preserve with a cucumber and apricot flavor and a hot kick at the end. Jasper Mirabile of Jasper's Ristorante in Kansas city uses this jelly for a spicy appetizer he named "Meadowlark Acres Spicy Shrimp Spoons."
